Structural evolution of plasma sprayed amorphous Li4Ti5O12 electrode and ceramic/polymer composite electrolyte during electrochemical cycle of quasi-solid-state lithium battery

Summary: In this study, a quasi-solid-state lithium battery was assembled using plasma sprayed amorphous Li4Ti5O12 (LTO) electrode and ceramic/polymer composite electrolyte with a small amount of liquid electrolyte. The electrochemical stability and interface contact were significantly improved. The experimental results showed that the amorphous LTO electrode exhibited better performance in terms of cycle stability, capacity retention rate, coulomb efficiency, and internal impedance compared to the traditional LTO electrode after 200 cycles.
