All-Climate High-Voltage Commercial Lithium-Ion Batteries Based on Propylene Carbonate Electrolytes

Haiman Fan et al.

Summary: Propylene carbonate (PC)-based electrolytes offer advantages over ethylene carbonate (EC)-based electrolytes, but are incompatible with graphite anode. Recently, adding diethyl carbonate (DEC) as a cosolvent has shown to improve the anodic tolerance of PC towards graphite anode, demonstrating potential for wider application of PC-based electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries.

Potassium storage mechanism of In2S3/C nanofibers as the anode for potassium ion batteries

Min Yang et al.

Summary: In this study, In2S3/C nanofibers were synthesized and exhibited excellent energy storage performance in potassium ion batteries, showing improved electrochemical performance and the ability to light up LED lights. The performance enhancement of the nanofibers was attributed to in-situ composite and nanoization of indium sulfide particles, buffering volume effect and improving material conductivity.
