Summary: This study analyzes the spatial pattern of Primary Health Care (PHC) teams in Northern and Northeastern Brazil and finds that there are more critical team areas in the North compared to the Northeast, with most of them concentrated in the western part of Bahia and the eastern part of Maranhao.
