Sprint Mechanical Characteristics of Female Soccer Players: A Retrospective Pilot Study to Examine a Novel Approach for Correction of Timing Gate Starts

Summary: This study compared model estimates of linear sprint mechanical characteristics in high-level female soccer players using timing gates with and without time correction. The findings suggest that a time correction is necessary for modeling sprint mechanical metrics at the start line, and both fixed and estimated time corrections can improve the accuracy of the models. Further research is needed to determine which type of time correction provides greater accuracy.
