Summary: A new mechanism for thermal management in a pulsed two-stage thermoelectric micro-cooler is proposed, using a phase change material and different electric currents for temperature control. The influence of electric current pulses and geometric factors on the micro-cooler performance is analyzed to find the optimum operating conditions for maintaining a constant temperature.
