Alkali treated water chestnut (Trapa natans L.) shells as a promising phytosorbent for malachite green removal from water

Summary: The study demonstrated enhanced removal of malachite green by alkali-modified shells of water chestnut, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 136.46 mg/g. The adsorption process was found to be spontaneous, favorable, and endothermic.
