Exponential nonuniform wall heating of a square cavity and natural convection

Mustafa Turkyilmazoglu

Summary: This study numerically analyzes the natural convection phenomenon in a square cavity with nonuniform wall heating. The transfer of heat and mixing as a consequence of fluid convection through the cavity is of paramount importance. The results show that closer proximity of the heating position center to the upper horizontal wall enhances heat transfer and leads to redistribution of streamlines and temperatures.

A. Shahid et al.

Summary: This article examines the physical features of magneto-hydrodynamics (MHD) Carreau nanofluid biconvection flow past an upper paraboloid porous surface with the presence of activation energy and chemical reaction. The governing equations are reconstructed into ordinary differential equations using similarity transforms, and the non-linear coupled differential equations are solved by implementing the spectral local linearization technique (SLLM). The numerical outcomes of temperature, velocity, and concentration profiles are analyzed in detail, along with the skin friction, Sherwood number, and Nusselt number.

A computational study of the triple-diffusive nonlinear convective nanoliquid flow over a wedge under convective boundary constraints

P. M. Patil et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the triple-diffusive nonlinear combined convective nanoliquid flow at a wedge with convective boundary constraints and viscous dissipation. Nonlinear coupled partial differential equations with boundary constraints are used to model the flow problem, which are then solved using the Quasilinearization technique and implicit finite difference approximation. The findings suggest that higher Schmidt number values decrease the mass diffusivity of liquid oxygen compared to liquid hydrogen, and increasing Biot number values enhance the magnitude of energy transfer rate.

Significance of quadratic thermal radiation and quadratic convection on boundary layer two-phase flow of a dusty nanoliquid past a vertical plate

B. Mahanthesh et al.

Summary: Numerical study of boundary layer two-phase flow of particulate Al2O3-H2O nanoliquid over a vertical flat plate was conducted considering quadratic thermal convection and thermal radiation. Different models were used to describe the flow of dusty nanoliquids, with nonlinear thermal radiation showing the best heat transfer enhancement, followed by quadratic thermal radiation and linear thermal radiation. Furthermore, the presence of Al2O3 nanoparticles improved heat transport, while an increase in dust particles mass fraction reduced it.
