Effects of three types of bearing misalignments on dynamic characteristics of planetary gear set-rotor system

Pengfei Wang et al.

Summary: This paper analyzes the effects of axial, radial, and tilt misalignments on the dynamic characteristics of the planetary gear set-rotor system. It proposes a nonlinear restoring force model for ball bearings under different misalignment conditions. The dynamic model of the planetary gear set is established using the lumped parameter method, and the rotor is modeled using the Timoshenko beam element. The results show that misalignments reduce vibration amplitude but increase load-bearing area and contact load. Different types of misalignments also affect the varying compliance frequency amplitude of the bearing. The research provides a theoretical basis for fault diagnosis and identification of bearing misalignment in complex rotating machinery systems.

Hongyang Xu et al.

Summary: This article proposes a method for calculating the axial and overturning ultimate load-bearing capacities of deep groove ball bearings based on the quasi-static model. The method uses a Newton-Raphson method with an analytical Jacobian matrix, which reduces the difficulty of selecting initial values. The accuracy of the proposed method is verified through comparison with traditional methods, and the effects of factors such as radial force, bearing geometric parameters, and rotation speed on the ultimate load-bearing capacities are discussed.

Nonlinear resonance characteristics of a dual-rotor system with a local defect on the inner ring of the inter-shaft bearing

Haiming Yi et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the nonlinear resonance characteristics of a dual-rotor system with a local defect on the inner ring of the inter-shaft bearing. The abnormal resonance peaks are caused by combined resonance related to the inner ring fault and the rotational speed of rotors, as well as induced resonance of the inner ring fault. Changes in defect parameters, rotors and support parameters, and inter-shaft bearing parameters lead to corresponding changes in the system's resonance behavior.
