Yinyan Zhang et al.

Summary: The article proposes an initialization-based k-WTA neural network model with only n neurons for n-dimensional inputs. The dynamics of the neural network model is described by parameterized gradient descent, and theoretical results show that the state vector of the model globally asymptotically converges to the theoretical k-WTA solution under mild conditions.

Finite-time event-triggered output feedback H∞ control for nonlinear systems via interval type-2 Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems

Wenting Song et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the finite-time event-triggered H-infinity fuzzy output feedback control problem for a class of nonlinear systems. The considered nonlinear system is modeled using an interval type-2 Takagi-Sugeno (IT2 T-S) fuzzy system with modeling errors. A state observer and an event-triggered mechanism are designed using sampled estimating states and measured output signals. Based on the designed state observer and event-triggered mechanism, an observer-based finite-time event-triggered H-infinity fuzzy controller is developed. The sufficient conditions for guaranteeing the finite-time stability of the system are established using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Additionally, a computational algorithm for solving observer and controller gain matrices is provided based on the established sufficient conditions. Finally, a simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Barrier function-based adaptive higher order sliding mode controllers ?

Salah Laghrouche et al.

Summary: This paper introduces barrier function-based adaptive controllers for fast stabilization of a perturbed chain of integrators with bounded uncertainties. These adaptive higher order sliding mode controllers are designed for a perturbed chain of integrators of length r with unknown uncertainty bounds. The proposed adaptive control feedback law ensures finite-time convergence of solutions to a desired vicinity of the origin, with the homogeneity norm of solutions asymptotically approaching zero. The effectiveness of these controllers is demonstrated through simulations.

Chaouki Aouiti et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the finite time and fixed-time stabilisation of high order bidirectional associative memory neural networks (HOBAMNNs) with time delays and reaction-diffusion terms. Sufficient conditions for the existence of equilibrium points of HOBAMNNs are obtained using the theory of topological degree. The stabilisation methods introduced in the paper rely on Lyapunov functional, new designing state feedback controllers, and inequality techniques. Numerical simulations are conducted to validate the theoretical results.

Summary: This article investigates an adaptive neural network decentralized output-feedback control design for uncertain large-scale interconnected nonlinear systems. The proposed control method ensures semiglobal uniform ultimate boundedness of the closed-loop system, with tracking and observer errors converging to a small neighborhood of the origin. The key contribution is removing the restrictive assumption that virtual and control gain functions in each subsystem must be constants.
