Macroporous resin-assisted enrichment, characterizations, antioxidant and anticandidal potential of phytochemicals from Trachyspermum ammi

Shuvajit Dutta et al.

Summary: The study focused on the extraction of de-oiled Trachyspermum ammi seeds using macroporous resins, leading to efficient enrichment of major phytochemical components. Different separation techniques were used to isolate several compounds from the extracts, demonstrating antioxidant and anti-candidal activities.

Characterization of Ionic Exchange and Macroporous Resins for Their Application on the Separation and Recovery of Chlorogenic Acid from the Wastewater of Artichoke Blanching

Antonio D. Rodriguez-Lopez et al.

Summary: Food wastes are being increasingly considered as potential resources, with the recovery of chlorogenic acid studied through sorption processes. Adsorption ratio was found to strongly depend on solution pH, and kinetic studies showed adsorption and desorption following a pseudo-second order model. The process was also found to be controlled by factors beyond just intraparticle diffusion.
