Ecological modelling of potential Isparta Rosa areas (Rosa damascena Mill.)

Rabia Ersan et al.

Summary: Rosa damascena is widely utilized in various industries such as perfume, cosmetics, food, and medicine globally, with recent emphasis on its use in treating Covid19 patients. Research focused on determining the ecological requirements of Rosa damascena and expanding production areas, particularly in Isparta where potential cultivation areas were identified using AHP and RS-GIS. Results showed a significant portion of Isparta's land suitable for rose cultivation, but actual cultivation areas were limited by the province's socio-economic structure.

Subcritical Extracts from Major Species of Oil-Bearing Roses-A Comparative Chemical Profiling

Ana Dobreva et al.

Summary: A comprehensive chemical profiling of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane extracts from different genotypes of oil-bearing roses using gas chromatography techniques revealed significant differences in their chemical composition, with 2-phenylethanol identified as the most abundant component. The specific chemical profile of the extracts varies depending on the botanical species.
