Adaptive finite-time command-filtered backstepping sliding mode control for stabilization of a disturbed rotary-inverted-pendulum with experimental validation

Omid Mofid et al.

Summary: This paper studies the finite-time stabilization of the disturbed and uncertain rotary-inverted-pendulum system using the adaptive backstepping sliding mode control method. A novel command filter is proposed to enhance the control strategy, and the unknown upper bound of the external disturbances and uncertainties is approximated using the adaptive control technique. The simulations and experimental results validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.

Adaptive Finite-Time Backstepping Global Sliding Mode Tracker of Quad-Rotor UAVs Under Model Uncertainty, Wind Perturbation, and Input Saturation

Omid Mofid et al.

Summary: In this article, an adaptive backstepping global sliding mode control method is proposed for finite-time tracking control of attitude and position of quad-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles in the presence of input saturation, model uncertainty, and wind perturbation. A compensation system is applied to remove the limitations in controller design caused by input saturation. The unknown upper bounds of model uncertainty and wind perturbation are approximated by an adaptive control procedure. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through simulation results in two different scenarios.

Bing Cui et al.

Summary: This article proposes a unified distributed finite-time attitude control framework based on sliding-mode control principle, suitable for networked uncertain rigid spacecraft under directed topology. It is applicable to both leader and follower spacecraft, requiring only neighbor state information. Preassigned finite-time attitude control for spacecraft based on time-varying barrier Lyapunov functions

Yu-Yao Wu et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the problem of preassigned finite-time control for attitude tracking of rigid spacecraft with parameter uncertainty and external disturbance. A controller using backstepping technique and an extended state observer is proposed to stabilize the attitude tracking error system and estimate disturbance in the spacecraft system. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed controller design method.

Decentralized event-triggered finite-time attitude consensus control of multiple spacecraft under directed graph

Chuang Xu et al.

Summary: This article investigates the finite-time consensus problem for the attitude system of multiple spacecraft under a directed graph, considering communication bandwidth constraint, inertia matrix uncertainties and external disturbances. An event-triggered communication mechanism and adaptive law are proposed to address these challenges, leading to a control scheme that guarantees finite-time stability and convergence of the spacecraft systems, while excluding the Zeno phenomenon. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

Global Distributed Attitude Tracking Control of Multiple Rigid Bodies via Quaternion-Based Hybrid Feedback

Yi Huang et al.

Summary: This article investigates the leader-following attitude tracking control problem of multiple rigid body systems in the presence of uncertain parameters and disturbances. A quaternion-based nonlinear hybrid distributed observer is proposed for estimating the leader's trajectory, ensuring global asymptotic stability and avoiding unwinding phenomenon. The developed observer-based attitude tracking control law combines adaptive technique and hybrid theory to achieve good robustness to disturbances and globally asymptotic convergence of attitude tracking errors.

Summary: By using a distributed nonlinear observer and a nonlinear internal-model-based observer, this paper designs local controllers to achieve the tracking of the leader's attitude and angular velocity in a multi-agent system composed of rigid spacecraft systems with quaternion-based attitude representation and a dynamic leader system. Finite-Time Approximation-Free Attitude Control of Quadrotors: Theory and Experiments

Qiang Chen et al.

Summary: This article proposes a novel finite-time approximation-free control scheme for attitude tracking of quadrotor UAVs, ensuring error convergence and singularity-free property within a finite duration. With a simple structure and less computational burden, this control scheme effectively handles dynamics coupling without requiring model information or approximations. Extensive experiments validate its effectiveness on a 3-DOF quadrotor platform.
