Genetic profiling and biomarkers in peripheral T-cell lymphomas: current role in the diagnostic work-up

Francisco Vega et al.

Summary: Peripheral T-cell lymphomas are a diverse group of mature T-cell neoplasms with overlapping features. Genetic profiling and other molecular tools have provided novel prognostic and diagnostic markers for these lymphomas, although their application lags behind B-cell lymphomas. Biomarkers play a crucial role in diagnosis, classification, and risk stratification of peripheral T-cell lymphomas, with further validation needed in larger clinical studies.
