Prediction method for ignition delay time of liquid spray combustion in constant volume chamber

Jiun Cai Ong et al.

Summary: A prediction method known as the Coupled Time Scale (CTS) method is proposed in this study to estimate the ignition delay time of liquid spray combustion. The method is verified to have a maximum relative difference of 33% when applied to estimate the high-temperature IDT of n-dodecane sprays.

Development and validation of a n-butanol reduced chemical kinetic mechanism under engine relevant conditions

Edwin Jia Chiet Choo et al.

Summary: The study developed a reduced mechanism for n-butanol combustion characteristics, which showed improved accuracy in predicting low-temperature reactions and indicated that n-butanol's combustion characteristics are closer to gasoline than diesel.
