Recent Advances on Drug Development and Emerging Therapeutic Agents Through Targeting Cellular Homeostasis for Ageing and Cardiovascular Disease

Tayyiba Azam et al.

Summary: Ageing is a progressive physiological process that is associated with various age-related diseases, including cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). The decline in autophagy, mitophagy, and UPR signalling during ageing contributes to the development and pathogenesis of CVDs. Restoring/balancing these signalling pathways could potentially mitigate the pathological effects of ageing and CVDs.
