Effect of head-down tilt on clinical outcome and cerebral perfusion in ischemic stroke patients: A case series

Zi-Ai Zhao et al.

Summary: This study observed the effect of head-down tilt on AIS patients and found that in cases with END, head-down tilt helped prevent further neurological deterioration and improve clinical outcomes. Cerebral perfusion imaging also showed an increase in cerebral blood flow after head-down tilt treatment.

Head down tilt 15° in experimental intracerebral hemorrhage: a randomized noninferiority safety trial

S. Beretta et al.

Summary: The study found that applying Head down tilt 15 degrees (HDT15 degrees) in the hyperacute phase of experimental intracerebral hemorrhage does not worsen early outcome, with no significant difference in hematoma volume, mass effect, mortality, and functional deficit between the HDT15 degrees group and flat position group.
