Significance of descriptive symptoms and signs and clinical parameters as predictors of neuropathic cancer pain

Sun Kyung Baek et al.

Summary: This study in Korean patients identified age <65 years, disease duration >6 months, stage IV cancer, history of chemotherapy, and moderate-to-severe cancer pain as predictors of neuropathic cancer pain (NCP). Common symptoms of NCP included tingling, electric shock, and pins and needles. Further research is needed to explore the pathogenesis and management of NCP in relation to these clinical predictors and associated symptoms and signs.
