Lipid biomarker estimates of seasonal variations of aerosol organic carbon sources in coastal Qingdao, China

Summary: This study investigated the sources and seasonal variations of organic aerosols in China's marginal seas, with winter showing highest concentrations of organic carbon. Organic carbon-normalized biomarkers were used to differentiate sources of aerosol OC, indicating different contributions from terrestrial plant OC depending on the chain length of n-alkanes, n-alkanols, and n-FAs.
