The evaluation of operational efficiencies of Turkish airports: An integrated spherical fuzzy AHP/DEA approach

Mustafa K. Yilmaz et al.

Summary: This study examines the operational efficiencies of 46 Turkish civil airports from 2015 to 2018 using a hybrid methodology. The findings show that a majority of the airports operate below the optimal efficiency level and suggest that airports located in touristic areas and closer to city centers achieve higher efficiency levels.

An efficiency-based interval type-2 fuzzy multi-criteria group decision making for makeshift hospital selection

Ze-hui Chen et al.

Summary: This paper introduces an efficiency-based multi-criteria group decision making method for selecting makeshift hospital sites, combining different methods to determine weights and rank alternatives in a fuzzy environment. Several solutions to key issues in the development of the method are proposed, and a model for measuring TrIT2F efficiencies is established. The study showcases the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed method through a site selection case and comparative analyses.

Dynamically evaluating technological innovation efficiency of high-tech industry in China: Provincial, regional and industrial perspective

Shoufu Lin et al.

Summary: The study reveals that the efficiency of China's high-tech industry is low, showing a wave-shaped trend and significant inter-provincial and inter-regional differences. The efficiency in the eastern region is consistently the highest, while the northeastern region has the lowest efficiency. Each province has different efficiency distributions in the five sub-industries.

Three-stage super-efficiency DEA models based on the cooperative game and its application on the R&D green innovation of the Chinese high-tech industry

Xiaoqing Chen et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the R&D green innovation of the Chinese high-tech industry in three consequent stages, proposing a three-stage super-efficiency DEA model and a cooperative game model, and obtaining the optimal efficiency of each stage through an efficiency decomposition approach. Empirical results show low overall efficiency with significant differences among provinces, with factors like technology market development and foreign trade dependence having significant impacts on R&D green innovation.

Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Super SBM Network DEA for Assessing Sustainability Performance of Third-Party Logistics Service Providers Considering Circular Economy Strategies in the Era of Industry 4.0

Mahsa Pishdar et al.

Summary: Stakeholders are increasingly aware of sustainability and recognize the role of 3PL service providers in sustainable supply chain management. Despite technological advancements guiding 3PLs towards sustainability, integrating forward and reverse logistics management remains a challenge. Benchmarking and developing a framework for sustainable development are suggested for future studies to help efficient 3PLs overcome obstacles and progress at a lower cost.
