Effect of CuO-water-ethylene glycol nanofluids on the performance of photovoltaic/thermal energy system: an experimental study

Hussein A. Kazem et al.

Summary: This study explores the possibility of using a nanofluid consisting of copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles in solar energy applications. Experimental results show that adding nano-CuO significantly increases the thermal conductivity of the nanofluid, with minimal effects on density and viscosity. Adding 2.0% nano-CuO to the nanofluid enhances the electrical and thermal efficiencies of the PV/T system.
