Hydrogen absorption performance investigation of a cylindrical MH reactor with rectangle heat exchange channels

Xiao-Shuai Bai et al.

Summary: A novel cylindrical metal hydride reactor with embedded heat exchange channels was proposed in this study, showing a 40% decrease in charging time compared to traditional reactors. By focusing on heat transfer structure, the hydrogen absorption efficiency was further enhanced using methods such as adjusting the slant angle of the heat exchange channels and utilizing interlaced fin layouts.
