Evaluation of chemical compounds that inhibit neurite outgrowth using GFP-labeled iPSC-derived human neurons

Shuaizhang Li et al.

Summary: A reliable and efficient screening method was developed in this study to identify compounds that may adversely impact the nervous system, focusing on neurite outgrowth as a key process in neurodevelopment. Results showed that certain compounds selectively inhibited neurite outgrowth in cortical neurons or motor neurons, indicating potential neurotoxic effects in different cell types.
