Neutrophilic dermatosis of the dorsal hands: A review of 123 cases

Daniel Micallef et al.

Summary: NDDH is a rare localized variant of Sweet syndrome characterized by tender erythematous plaques, pustules, and bullae on the dorsa of the hands. It commonly affects older females and is often accompanied by underlying diseases such as hematologic disorders, recent infection, solid organ tumors, and inflammatory bowel disease. Treatment usually involves corticosteroids, with dapsone, colchicine, and tetracyclines as alternative options. Prompt recognition and diagnosis are important for proper management and potential cure.
