Assessment of FRP-Concrete Interfacial Debonding with Coupled Mixed-Mode Cohesive Zone Model

Wei Zhang et al.

Summary: The study analyzes the mixed-mode debonding of the FRP-concrete interface using a cohesive zone model derived from the modified Mohr-Coulomb strength criterion. The research provides a detailed description of the initial debonding and propagation of the interface, as well as a clear understanding of the mixed-mode loading-dependent debonding process through parametric studies. The proposed model offers an effective and efficient way to analyze the mixed-mode debonding of the FRP-concrete interface.

Mixed-Mode Debonding Behavior between CFRP Plates and Concrete under Fatigue Loading

Wei Zhang et al.

Summary: A new method for fatigue peeling/shear of externally bonded carbon fiber-reinforced polymer laminates with RC under the CZM mixed-mode implementation is proposed. The numerical simulations conducted in the study show excellent agreement with experimental results, demonstrating the method's effectiveness as a predictive tool in predicting peeling/shear propagation during loading.

Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Strengthening of Steel Beams under Static and Fatigue Loadings

Bibek Regmi Bagale et al.

Summary: Nonlinear finite element analysis was used to investigate the behavior of FRP retrofitted steel beams under static and fatigue loadings. The study found that CFRP laminate increased flexural capacity and fatigue life of the beams significantly. The addition of anchorages further enhanced the flexural capacity under fatigue loading condition.
