No Annealing Synthesis of Ordered Intermetallic PdCu Nanocatalysts for Boosting Formic Acid Oxidation

Summary: Due to their high catalytic efficiency and selectivity, ordered intermetallic Pd-based nanocatalysts have greater potential than disordered nanocatalysts for formic acid oxidation reactions (FAOR). In this study, monodisperse ordered intermetallic PdCu nanocatalysts were obtained through liquid phase reduction reaction without heat treatment. The obtained nanocatalysts displayed enhanced activity and durability for FAOR compared to other types of nanocatalysts.

Ruthenium-nickel-cobalt alloy nanoparticles embedded in hollow carbon microtubes as a bifunctional mosaic catalyst for overall water splitting
