Effect of liquid medium and laser processing parameters on the fabrication of carbon nanoparticles via pulsed laser ablation in liquid towards paper electronics

Anesu Nyabadza et al.

Summary: In this study, carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) were fabricated using different liquid mediums and utilized as conductive inks deposited on paper substrates. The results showed that the liquid medium significantly affected the size, conductivity, and surface chemistry of the nanoparticles. Additionally, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis revealed that certain atoms adsorbed onto the carbon NPs in the magnesium-based solution, leading to enhanced conductivity of the coated paper substrates.

Concentration Quantification of TiO2 Nanoparticles Synthesized by Laser Ablation of a Ti Target in Water

Damjan Blazeka et al.

Summary: In this study, a quantitative method for determining the concentration of metal oxide nanoparticles synthesized by laser ablation in liquid was presented. The concentration of titanium dioxide nanoparticles synthesized by laser ablation of a Ti target in water was determined using UV-Vis spectroscopy, optical microscope evaluation, and SEM microscopy. The method was verified by comparing the calculated concentrations with the values obtained from the Beer-Lambert law using the Mie scattering theory.
