Summary: In this study, the combination of electrode aeration (EA) and hydroxylamine sulfate (HA) was used to improve the generation of H2O2 and the efficiency of Fe3+/Fe2+ cycle, thereby enhancing the performance of Electro-Fenton process. The combination of HA and EA significantly accelerated the degradation of dimethyl phthalate (DMP) and exhibited a synergistic effect within a certain pH range. Furthermore, the coupling of EA and HA reduced the use of HA and improved the selectivity of N2 transformation.

Investigation of operation parameters on the removal efficiency of methyl orange pollutant by cellulose/zinc oxide hybrid aerogel

The synthesized photocatalyst exhibited good recyclability and easy separation from the aqueous solution.

Efficient degradation of amoxicillin by scaled-up electro-Fenton process: Attenuation of toxicity and decomposition mechanism

Summary: In this study, a scaled-up electro-Fenton (EF) system was used to treat amoxicillin wastewater, investigating the effects of operational parameters and proposing a degradation mechanism with hydroxyl radicals as dominant oxidant. The study also identified a reasonable degradation pathway of amoxicillin through UPLC-MS analysis and showed a 50% decrease in biotoxicity of the treated effluent. The EF system provides a new perspective on the effective pretreatment of antibiotic wastewater.
