Long-Lived Room-Temperature Phosphorescence Based on Hydrogen Bonding Self-Assembling Supramolecular Film

Summary: The study successfully prepared long afterglow IPA-MA crystalline films with up to 1.15 seconds ultra-long emission lifetime using a drop-casting layer-by-layer method, which is effective for fabrication of hydrogen bonded supramolecular crystalline film materials on solid surfaces. Furthermore, this method was successfully applied in the fields of temperature sensors and anti-counterfeiting, expanding the application fields of ORTP materials.

Long-Range Electron Transfer through Ultrathin Polyelectrolyte Complex Films: A Hopping Model

Summary: Pinhole-free ultra-thin films assembled using layer-by-layer deposition were used to evaluate electron transfer from a redox species to an electrode over distances ranging from 1-9 nm. The findings suggest that the distribution of applied voltage among discreet hopping sites can modify the Butler-Volmer expression for electron transfer, with beta being inversely related to the hopping range.
