An efficient CuO/rGO/TiO2 photocatalyst for the synthesis of benzopyranopyrimidine compounds under visible light irradiation

Maryam Mirza-Aghayan et al.

Summary: In this study, a CuO/rGO/TiO2 nanocomposite was prepared and applied in a coupling reaction for carbon-nitrogen bond formation under visible light irradiation. The nanocomposite exhibited excellent catalytic activity in the synthesis of benzopyranopyrimidine derivatives. The catalyst also showed good recyclability.

SnO2/reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites for highly efficient photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue

Pham Van Tuan et al.

Summary: SnO2/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposites were prepared by one-step hydrothermal method and characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Raman scattering spectroscopy, and UV-vis absorption spectra. The results showed that increasing rGO doping enhanced the photocatalytic properties of the nanocomposites, indicating the potential for environmental remediation applications.

Enhanced UV and visible light photocatalytic properties of synthesized AgBr/SnO2 composites

F. Puga et al.

Summary: The coupling of AgBr with SnO2 significantly enhances the photocatalytic activity under both UV and visible illumination, showing conversion rates superior to pure AgBr and SnO2. This improvement is attributed to increased adsorption viability and efficient separation of photoinduced carriers due to the formation of a heterojunction.

Investigation on (Zn) doping and anionic surfactant (SDS) effect on SnO2 nanostructures for enhanced photocatalytic RhB dye degradation

S. P. Keerthana et al.

Summary: In this study, doping and addition of surfactant were used to enhance the photocatalytic activity of SnO2 nanostructures. The synthesized SDS-(Zn-SnO2) nanostructure showed a 90% degradation rate of RhB dye under visible light, which was 2.5 times higher than the pristine sample. The narrowing of bandgap, smaller crystallite size, and improved growth of nanostructures in SDS-(Zn-SnO2) contributed to its superior performance in degrading toxic pollutants, making it a potential competitor in future wastewater treatment research.
