TiO2/PANI/Graphene-PVA Hydrogel for Recyclable and Highly Efficient Photo-Electrocatalysts

Yulun Tao et al.

Summary: The TiO2/PANI/graphene-PVA hydrogel (TPGH) with excellent photoelectrical response and photocatalysis properties was successfully fabricated by combining TiO2 /PANI/graphene powder with poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) hydrogel. The hydrogel showed high efficiency in degrading organic dyes and contaminants, along with good recyclability and cycling performance, providing a promising alternative for the design and synthesis of recyclable hydrogel photocatalysts.

Geospatial analysis of wetlands based on land use/land cover dynamics using remote sensing and GIS in Sindh, Pakistan

Hamza Islam et al.

Summary: The study observed significant LULC changes in wetlands in Pakistan over four decades, with human activities impacting freshwater resources and natural ecosystems. Analysis showed a 40% impact on land cover in the study area from 1972 to 2020, with notable decreases in vegetation cover. Soil degradation and its effects on vegetation cover were highlighted using the SAVI technique. Overall accuracy of LULC mapping studies was over 90%, demonstrating the importance of monitoring LULC changes for effective land management strategies.

Sustainable Evaluation of Using Nano Zero-Valent Iron and Activated Carbon for Real Textile Effluent Remediation

Ahmed K. Badawi et al.

Summary: The study examined the performance of nZVI and AC in treating textile effluents, with AC showing higher removal efficiency than nZVI. By using comparison studies and multi-criteria decision-making methods, it was concluded that AC is more suitable for the treatment of textile wastewater compared to nZVI.
