Core-shell CuO@NiCoMn-LDH supported by copper foam for high-performance supercapacitors

Summary: In this study, a CoOx-loaded Zr-doped ZnFe2O4 (CoOx/Zr-ZFO) NR photocatalyst was synthesized for bacterial inactivation and degradation of organic pollutants. The photocatalyst exhibited significant absorption in the visible light region, leading to improved efficiency in bacteria degradation and inactivation. Compared to other metal oxide-loaded Zr-ZFO NRs, the CoOx/Zr-ZFO-3 NR photocatalyst showed higher inactivation efficiency and demonstrated high degradation efficiencies for organic pollutants. This study provides a novel approach for the development of photocatalysts active in visible light for bacterial disinfection and organic degradation.

Summary: Visible light-active rhodium and antimony-co-doped SrTiO3 nanocubes were synthesized at low temperatures and their photocatalytic properties were enhanced by the addition of transition metal oxides. Among the studied metal oxides, 2 wt% CoOx-loaded Rh/Sb:SrTiO3 exhibited the highest photocatalytic performance for organic pollutant degradation and bacteria inactivation under visible light irradiation. The study also identified superoxide anion radicals and holes as the major active species responsible for the photocatalytic degradation process.

Visible light driven photocatalytic degradation of aqueous acetamiprid over nitrogen and graphene oxide doped ZnO composites

Summary: The study investigated the photocatalytic degradation of acetamiprid in aqueous solutions under visible light by using bare ZnO as well as N- and N-GO-doped photocatalysts. Results showed that N-GO-ZnO exhibited the highest photocatalytic performance, achieving complete degradation of acetamiprid after 5 hours of reaction at ambient temperature. In comparison, no photocatalyst, bare ZnO, and N-doped ZnO materials reached conversion rates of 12%, 38%, and 68%, respectively, under the same conditions.
