Insights into the sodium storage mechanism of Bi2Te3 nanosheets as superior anodes for sodium-ion batteries

Summary: In this study, Bi2Te3 nanosheets (BT-Ns) were fabricated using a novel solvent reductive reaction strategy, resulting in a well-developed crystal structure with a thickness of about 1.42 nm. The BT-Ns not only offer more active sites but also promote the conductivity and diffusion of Na ions and electrons, exhibiting excellent rate and long-term cyclic performance. The sodium storage mechanism of Bi2Te3 follows a three-step crystallographic phase change, discovered through in situ X-ray diffraction analysis. The BT-N anodes showed great potential for practical applications when paired with Na3V2(PO4)(3) cathodes, delivering excellent performance with an energy density of 107.2 W h kg(-1).

Biocompatibility study showed that <= 800 ppm Cit/Tb-nHAp was not cytotoxic for C6 glioma cells, and efficient cytoplasmic localization of transferrin conjugated Cit/Tb-nHAp into C6 glioma cells was demonstrated by fluorescence cell imaging, making it a promising agent for future in vitro and in vivo fluorescence bioimaging.

Low crystalline 1T-MoS2@S-doped carbon hollow spheres as an anode material for Lithium-ion battery

Multi-step Controllable Catalysis Method for the Defense of Sodium Polysulfide Dissolution in Room-Temperature Na-S Batteries
