In-Situ Generated CsPbBr3 Nanocrystals on O-Defective WO3 for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

Xinyan Jiang et al.

Summary: Metal halide perovskite nanocrystals have potential for photocatalytic CO2 reduction but their activities are limited by charge recombination and narrow solar spectrum response. By assembling heterojunctions, charge separation can be improved; however, interfacial defects hinder efficient charge transfer. This study presents an in-situ generation strategy to prepare CsPbBr3/WO3 heterojunction with a high-quality interface, facilitating charge transfer and resulting in enhanced CO2 reduction activity.

One-Pot Synthesis of CoS2 Merged in Polymeric Carbon Nitride Films for Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting

Xiaochun Li et al.

Summary: Polymeric carbon nitride (PCN) is a sustainable, metal-free semiconductor that has been studied for its potential in photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting. However, the amorphous nature of the polymer limits the charge transfer along the films, thus affecting its performance. In this study, the researchers successfully incorporated gradient concentration of cobalt disulfide (CoS2) into PCN films, resulting in improved charge transfer and enhanced performance for PEC water oxidation.
