Summary: Designing high-efficiency and low-cost nonprecious-metal catalysts is crucial for the commercial applications of hydrogen fuel cells. In this study, novel three-dimensional hybrid networks consisting of manganese oxide-modified, iron carbide-embedded, and boron/nitrogen codoped hierarchically porous carbon nanofibers were designed. The optimized catalyst displayed excellent hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen reduction reaction catalytic activities, surpassing state-of-the-art catalysts in terms of stability and methanol tolerance.
