Regulating interfacial morphology and charge-carrier utilization of Ti3C2 modified all-sulfide CdS/ZnIn2S4 S-scheme heterojunctions for effective photocatalytic H2 evolution

Junxian Bai et al.

Summary: The control of interface morphology and charge-carrier utilization in metal sulfide photocatalysts is crucial for improving the separation efficiency of electrons and holes and increasing the surface reaction active sites. In this study, a Ti3C2/ZIS/CdS composite material was synthesized, which showed improved electron-hole separation efficiency and enhanced charge transfer due to the formation of an all-sulfide S-scheme heterojunction. The addition of Ti3C2 further reduced the recombination of electrons and holes, leading to a high hydrogen production rate.
