Synergistic Effect of Lewis Base Polymers and Graphene in Enhancing the Efficiency of Perovskite Solar Cells

Qiang Lou et al.

Summary: The incorporation of Lewis base polymers into a perovskite layer has been shown to passivate trap states at the grain boundaries, but the low electrical conductivity of polymers can hinder charge transport. A new strategy utilizing highly conductive graphene/Lewis base polymer composites as additives in perovskite was reported, leading to improved device efficiency and stability due to enhanced hole-transport selectivity in graphene. The designed perovskite device achieved an outstanding efficiency of 21.21% and retained 90% of its initial power conversion efficiency after aging for 480 hours in ambient air at room temperature with 35% relative humidity.
