A critical review on relationship of CeO2-based photocatalyst towards mechanistic degradation of organic pollutant

A. A. Fauzi et al.

Summary: Nanostructured photocatalysts, particularly CeO2-based photocatalysts, have shown potential in addressing environmental challenges caused by population growth and urbanization. Modifications of CeO2, such as doping with metals and non-metals, have been explored to enhance photodegradation performance in wastewater treatment. Advanced heterojunction types like p-n heterojunction and Z-scheme show superior performance in charge carrier separation for efficient degradation of contaminants.

Dry reforming reactions of CH4 over CeO2/MgO catalysts at high concentrations of H2S, and behavior of CO2 at the CeO2-MgO interface

Kenji Taira

Summary: This study demonstrates the stable dry reforming activity of CeO2/MgO under reaction conditions containing 2000 ppm H2S, without carbon deposition or impurity phase formation. MgO stabilizes the CeO2 nanoparticles and facilitates the dry reforming reaction by capturing CO2 at the CeO2-MgO interface.

Ethylene production over A/B-site doped BaCoO3 perovskite by chemical looping oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane

Xin Huang et al.

Summary: In this study, a potential route for selective and efficient ethylene production via chemical looping oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane using alkaline, rare earth, and transition metals modified BaCoO3 perovskite as the circulative redox catalyst was reported. The results showed that ethane conversion and ethylene selectivity were mainly regulated by lattice oxygen and Co valence of the catalysts, respectively. Co-doping of La and Cu to A/B-site of BaCoO3 enhanced both ethane conversion and ethylene selectivity, achieving the highest selectivity of 81.2% at ethane conversion of 67.6%.
