In-situ deposition of amorphous Tungsten(VI) oxide thin-film for solid-state symmetric supercapacitor

Summary: Amorphous tungsten (VI) trioxide thin films were successfully deposited on both rigid Ni-foam and flexible PET substrates using RF magnetron sputtering technique. The deposited films showed uniform nanoparticles and excellent electrochemical properties, leading to high areal capacitance and good cyclic retention. Two solid-state symmetric supercapacitor devices assembled with these films demonstrated moderate energy and power densities, indicating the potential for practical applications in supercapacitor devices.

The sensor also showed satisfactory recovery when applied to determine glucose in human serum samples, indicating its potential practical application in quantitative analysis of blood glucose levels.

Electrochemical synthesis of binder-free interconnected nanosheets of Mn-doped Co3O4 on Ni foam for high-performance electrochemical energy storage application

Summary: In this study, various nanostructures of Mn-doped Co3O4 were synthesized on Ni foam using binder-free electrochemical technology for electrochemical energy storage applications. The interconnected nanosheets of Mn-doped Co3O4 on Ni foam showed remarkable supercapacitive performance, with a maximum specific capacitance of 1005F g(-1) and 88% cyclic stability after 5000 charge-discharge cycles. An asymmetric supercapacitor assembled with activated carbon on Ni foam and interconnected nanosheets of Mn-doped Co3O4 on Ni foam exhibited improved potential, specific energy, and specific power, with 80.6% capacity retention after 2000 charge-discharge cycles, making it superior for supercapacitor devices.

Deep eutectic solvent mediated nanostructured copper oxide as a positive electrode material for hybrid supercapacitor device

A green approach using a choline chloride urea (CCU)-based deep eutectic solvent (DES) method was introduced for the synthesis of nanostructured CuO. The CuO sample obtained at 12 h of reaction time exhibited a porous nanograin-like surface morphology with excellent specific capacity and was successfully utilized in a CuO//activated carbon (AC) hybrid supercapacitor device, demonstrating noteworthy electrochemical performance and long-term stability.
