Improved room-temperature magnetoelectric effect and crystal structure in polycrystalline BaSrCo2Fe11AlO22

Sakyo Hirose et al.

Summary: Highly c-axis oriented polycrystalline samples of Y-type hexaferrite, BaSrCo2Fe11AlO22, showed superior magnetoelectric performance, with electric polarization induced by applying a magnetic field reaching 140 μC/m2 at 200K, and 51 μC/m2 at 300K. The ME coefficient was estimated to be 7200 ps/m at 300K. These results are essential for further investigations on room-temperature multiferroics and their practical applications.

Mutual transformation of reversible and bound polarization in Y-type BaSrCo2Fe11AlO22 ceramics

Han Bai et al.

Summary: In Y-type BaSrCo2Fe11AlO22 ceramics, the continuously reversed polarization induced by non-collinear conical magnetic structures can be categorized as reversible polarization and bound polarization. Saturated polarization increases linearly with the circulating magnetic field, but exponentially attenuates as the number of cycles increases.

Magnetodielectric study of BiFeO3 synthesized by assisted high-energy ball milling

J. P. Martinez-Perez et al.

Summary: This study synthesized multiferroic bismuth ferrite through high-energy ball milling, and used X-ray diffraction, vibration sample magnetometry, LCR analysis, and magnetodielectric study to reveal its antiferromagnetic behavior and space charge polarization behavior. The magnetodielectric study also found magnetically induced changes in a frequency range.
