Yoonhee Na et al.

Summary: This study synthesized a highly versatile ferrocene functional polymer to formulate self-assembled ferrocene nanocapsules (FNCs) as smart carriers of the antioxidant alpha-tocopherol (TP), showing significantly higher antioxidant activity than unloaded TP. The TP-loaded FNCs repressed oxidative damage to fibroblasts, reduced intracellular ROS production, exhibited good biocompatibility, and greatly facilitated the healing of infected wounds. TP-loaded FNCs have potential as an ROS-mediated drug delivery system for treating various oxidative stress-associated diseases.
