Gastric acid-response chitosan/alginate/tilapia collagen peptide composite hydrogel: Protection effects on alcohol-induced gastric mucosal injury

Sitong Lu et al.

Summary: In this study, a gastric acid-responsive hydrogel of CS-NAC/ALG/TCP was developed and evaluated for its protective effects against alcohol-induced gastric mucosal injury in mice. The results showed that the hydrogel improved oxidative stress, reduced inflammation, and protected gastric mucosa, while also enhancing alcohol metabolism enzymes. This suggests that CS-NAC/ALG/TCP could be a promising treatment for alcohol-induced gastric injury.
