Impact of double-diffusivity convection in nanofluids and induced magnetic field on peristaltic pumping of a Carreau fluid in a tapered channel with different waveforms

Qamar Afzal et al.

Summary: This article discusses the importance of double-diffusivity convection in nanofluids on the peristaltic pumping of Carreau fluid in a tapered channel with induced magnetic field and different waveforms. Through mathematical modeling and calculations, solutions for temperature, concentration, and nanoparticle volume fraction are obtained, with the observation that temperature and concentration profiles increase with an increase in parameters N-b, N-t, N-CT, and N-TC.

Simple analytic model for peristaltic flow and mixing

Ruy Ibanez et al.

Summary: Peristaltic flows occur when fluid in a channel is driven by periodic, traveling wall deformations, causing net transport and mixing of solutes due to Lagrangian drift. A simple analytic model has been developed to express flow velocity and drift velocity in terms of deformation speed and amplitude, showing its applicability through experiments and simulations.
