Au doped ZnO/SnO2 composite nanofibers for enhanced H2S gas sensing performance

Chu Manh Hung et al.

Summary: The nanofibers of ZnO-SnO2 nanocomposites doped with Au crystals were successfully synthesized using electrospinning method, leading to a significant enhancement in gas sensing performance towards H2S gas. The doping of Au crystals on the surface of nanofibers improved the effective surface catalyzed gas reaction, resulting in approximately 700% improvement in gas sensitivity towards H2S gas.

High sensitivity and low detection limit of acetone sensor based on NiO/Zn2SnO4 p-n heterojunction octahedrons

Chaoge Zhou et al.

Summary: In this study, the octahedral NiO/Zn2SnO4 p-n heterostructure was successfully prepared through simple hydrothermal synthesis, showing improved sensing performance compared to pure Zn2SnO4. The enhanced sensing properties are mainly attributed to the formation of a p-n heterojunction between NiO and Zn2SnO4, facilitating carrier transfer and catalytic effects. The gas sensor exhibited a response of 1.4 to 100 ppb acetone at 300℃, indicating a detection limit of less than 100 ppb.

In-situ generated TiO2/α-Fe2O3 heterojunction arrays for batch manufacturing of conductometric acetone gas sensors

Chen Wang et al.

Summary: A highly sensitive and selective acetone gas sensor was successfully fabricated by designing an n-n heterojunction of TiO2 nanorods and alpha-Fe2O3 branches. The sensor based on TiO2/alpha-Fe2O3 heterostructures showed a significantly higher response to acetone gas compared to pristine TiO2 sensors. The enhanced sensing properties were attributed to the specific structure and mechanism of the TiO2/alpha-Fe2O3 n-n heterojunction.
