Quenching, aging, and reviving in coupled dynamical networks

Wei Zou et al.

Summary: The study of rhythmic behaviors in coupled dynamical networks is an active and rapidly evolving field, covering various aspects from oscillation quenching to reviving. These investigations provide vital insights into the collapse and revival of macroscopic rhythmic behaviors, enhancing our understanding of evading irreversible failures of coupled dynamical networks.

Effects of frequency mismatch on amplitude death in delay-coupled oscillators

Shinsuke Mizukami et al.

Summary: This paper analyzes the effects of frequency mismatch on the stability of equilibrium points within a pair of Stuart-Landau oscillators coupled by a delay connection. It reveals the existence of four types of stability boundary curves in a coupling parameters space, which depend solely on the frequency mismatch. Appropriate frequency mismatches and delay times can induce amplitude death with strong stability, even with weak coupling. Furthermore, some of these analytical results are applicable to oscillator networks with complete bipartite topologies.
