Summary: Hollow fiber membrane (HFM) modules have various applications in separation technology due to their high packing density and selective permeability. However, membrane surface fouling from dust particles carried by moist air can significantly reduce efficiency. Key challenges include membrane permeability and surface pollution, which can be addressed through surface modification and superhydrophobic modification for enhanced permeability and self-cleaning ability.
