Alkali metal (Na, Cs and K) promoted hydrotalcites for high temperature CO2 capture from flue gas in cyclic adsorption processes

A. Catarina Faria et al.

Summary: This study aims to find a CO2 HT-based sorbent with promising behavior in terms of sorption capacity, sorption kinetics, and cyclic stability during continuous sorption/desorption cycles. The best performance was observed for CHT doped with 9.4 wt% of Cs. A study on the cyclic stability of this material was conducted, and a kinetic model predicting the loss of sorption capacity with cycles was successfully developed.

Mitigation of CO2 emissions by hydrotalcites of Mg3Al-CO3 at 0 °C and high pressure

D. Suescum-Morales et al.

Summary: This study demonstrated the maximum CO2 capture capacity of four adsorbents with different particle and pore size distribution, showing that calcined hydrotalcite had the best performance at low temperature (0 degrees C) and high pressure (34.28 atm). The adsorbents were characterized using various techniques, and the CO2 adsorption isotherms data were fitted to different models to confirm the physical nature of CO2 adsorption.

Ni/Fibrous type SBA-15: Highly active and coke resistant catalyst for CO2 methanation

Syahida Nasuha Bukhari et al.

Summary: By transforming rod-like SBA-15 into fibrous type F-SBA-15 and evaluating Ni/F-SBA-15 in CO2 methantion, a superior catalytic performance was achieved due to the favorable physicochemical properties of F-SBA-15. This was evidenced by the higher stability and coke resistance ability demonstrated by Ni/F-SBA-15 compared to Ni/SBA-15.
