Enhancement in Photocatalytic H2O2 Production over g-C3N4 Nanostructures: A Collaborative Approach of Nitrogen Deficiency and Supramolecular Precursors

Hossein Fattahimoghaddam et al.

Summary: In this study, homogeneous self-modification by nitrogen vacancies was used to improve the photocatalytic production of H2O2 by g-C3N4, resulting in significantly higher yield and acceptable reusability. This approach provides a new perspective on modifying the performance of supramolecular-based carbon nitride photocatalysts.

High Performance Generation of H2O2 under Piezophototronic Effect with Multi-Layer In2S3 Nanosheets Modified by Spherical ZnS and BaTiO3 Nanopiezoelectrics

Xiaofeng Zhou et al.

Summary: A multi-layer In2S3 nanosheet modified with ZnS and BaTiO3 nanopiezoelectrics was found to significantly enhance the generation of H2O2 under co-irradiation of visible light and ultrasound. The enhancement was attributed to the promotion of charge carrier separation by the piezopotential-induced internal electric polarization field. This piezophotocatalysis process showed higher efficiency compared to traditional photocatalysis and independent piezoelectric processes.
