Metal-free allylic C-H nitrogenation, oxygenation, and carbonation of alkenes by thianthrenation

Ming-Shang Liu et al.

Summary: A transition-metal-free protocol for selective allylic C-H nitrogenation, oxygenation, and carbonation of alkenes has been developed, providing multialkyl substituted allylic amines, ammonium salts, sulfonyl amides, esters, and ethers in good yields. The reaction shows excellent functional group tolerance and can be applied to the late-stage allylation of natural products, drug molecules, and peptides with high chemoselectivity.

Rhodium/Chiral-Diene-Catalyzed Switchable Asymmetric Divergent Arylation of Enone-Diones

Junbao Li et al.

Summary: A rhodium/chiral diene catalytic system is reported for the switchable synthesis of chiral bicyclic products and acyclic products. The selectivity for the formation of bicyclic products is achieved through arylation-aldol cyclization, while the selectivity for acyclic products is achieved through hydroarylation.

Palladacycle-Catalyzed Olefinic C-P Cross-Coupling of Alkenylsulfonium Salts with Diarylphosphines to Access Alkenylphosphines

Jie Zhu et al.

Summary: An efficient olefinic C-P cross-coupling reaction of alkenylsulfonium salts with secondary diarylphosphines is reported. The use of a palladacycle enables the facile formation of a C-P bond at the alkenyl moiety of alkenylsulfonium salts under mild conditions, tolerating a wide range of functional groups. This protocol provides an easy access to various alkenylphosphine products in good to high yields with high levels of stereoselectivity (E selectivity).
