High-Temperature Stable FAPbBr3 Single Crystals for Sensitive X-ray and Visible Light Detection toward Space

Mengnan Yao et al.

Summary: Organolead trihalide perovskite single crystals offer unprecedented opportunity for X-ray and visible light detection, and formamidinium lead bromide single crystals are developed to address the challenge of maintaining high-performance and stability at high temperatures. These crystals demonstrate excellent performance as radiation detectors with low X-ray dose rate and high detectivity, as well as stability as photodetectors at high temperatures. The development of these bifunctional detectors could pave the way for stable detection in extreme space environments.

Tuning the Circular Dichroism and Circular Polarized Luminescence Intensities of Chiral 2D Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites through Halogenation of the Organic Ions

Jin-Tai Lin et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of various halogen-substituted chiral organic cations on the chiroptical properties of hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites (HOIPs). It was found that the HOIP with a chlorine-substituted chiral cation exhibits the highest circular dichroism (CD) and circular polarized luminescence (CPL) intensities, which can be correlated to the modulation of magnetic transition dipole and halogen-halogen interaction between organic cations and inorganic sheets.
