Stress, Cognitive Fusion and Comorbid Depressive and Anxiety Symptomatology in Dementia Caregivers

Summary: The study found that female caregivers were more likely to exhibit comorbid symptomatology, and higher frequency of disruptive behaviors from the care recipient was a risk factor for comorbid symptoms. Moreover, higher scores in cognitive fusion were a risk factor for comorbidity, indicating that caregivers with comorbid symptoms were more likely to experience anxiety, depression, and subclinical symptoms.
